Ready to become the coach?
Welcome to our first Mat Pilates teacher training!
You are about to begin a transformative journey, not just in your understanding of Pilates, but in your ability to share this powerful method with others. Whether your goal is to teach professionally or to deepen your personal practice, this training will equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to become a thoughtful, informed, and inspiring instructor.

In this training, we’ll explore the foundational principles of Pilates, functional anatomy, movement analysis, cueing techniques, and the art of teaching. You’ll learn how to design intelligent, accessible classes that honour the Pilates method while adapting to the needs of real people in real bodies.

This program is not only about memorizing exercises and cues, it's about developing your eye, your voice, and your ability to see and support others. Through dedicated practice, observation, teaching, and feedback, you’ll grow into your role as a teacher with clarity, creativity, and compassion.

Most importantly, this training is a space for exploration and growth. Come with an open mind, a curious spirit, and a commitment to the work. You’re not expected to be perfect, just present.

We’re so glad you’re here.

FAQ
When do I have to register by?
September 30th. This allows us to ensure there are enough students registered and to get all resources printed and ready.

What if I need to miss a training date or leave class early?
We get it, life happens. We will provide an overview of the class, notes and online materials to support the lesson whenever possible. The hours you missed will then need to be made up in your personal practice and homework hours. Meeting up with a fellow student to practice and review is always encouraged or you can book a 1:1 private lesson with Andrea at a cost of $100/hour +gst

I can't make these dates, will you offer this training again?
We are planning to run again in February-May 2026 pending interest. Alternatively, private small group training during the week is available. Contact us to inquire.

I haven't done Pilates before, can I take this training?
We strongly suggest having attended at least 10 pilates mat classes (online or in person) prior to signing up for the training.
How can I pay?
Once you fill out the registration form, we'll email you a link to complete payment. You can pay via etransfer, through credit card online, or use debit in person.

What if I need to withdraw from the training?
Withdrawals made up to 21 days prior to the training start date will be offered the option of a credit for the amount paid to date less a non refundable admin fee of $300 for future training or classes.
Once the training begins no refunds or credits are available.
Refunds are only offered in the case that Antidote Movement Club needs to cancel the training.

Your instructor: Andrea Yacyshyn
My adoration of Pilates started in 2015 when I was looking for a way to alleviate ongoing back pain and to support the demands placed on my body as a dancer; I became an instructor in 2018 under the
tutelage of Tracy Stafford (Integration Pilates).

As someone living with Ehlers-Danlos (systemic hypermobility) I finally
found a movement practice that didn't injure me and instead made me
the strongest I had ever been. I also loved the somatic component
of Pilates and often felt like I was walking on a cloud after class.
I have been working as an RMT for over 10 years and specialize in rehabilitative
movement therapy, chronic pain, and have extensive experience working with the
2SLGBTQA+ and neurodivergent communities.
